In our workshops, webinars and presentations many people wonder:
“I have many contacts from years ago -can I still contact them?”
Yes, you can always reconnect with them. Don’t feel bad that it’s been a while, even if it’s been years. They didn’t take action either, right? They probably have the same hesitation as you do. So, why don’t you take the first step?
[ | When you reconnect with them, always make your message personal. | ]
Refer to the time you spent together, the projects you worked on or the fun time in college.
Extra tip: Use the same name in your invitation message as the name you had when you knew them. This especially applies to people who now go by the name of their partner.By the way, I’ve noticed a trend that more and more men are using the name of their spouse nowadays.
